School-aged children in Hidden Lake may attend Franklin County public schools or choose from a number of private schools in the Raleigh area. Hidden Lake is currently served by Franklinton Elementary School, Cedar Creek Middle School and Franklinton High School.

  • The Freshman Academy helps rising ninth graders in their transition to high school. The Academy’s long-term goal is to increase the graduation rate among high school students, by providing a structured atmosphere that emphasizes discipline and establishes high expectations for its students.

  • Founded in 1862, Ravenscroft School is an independent, nonprofit organization composed of three educational divisions – Lower School, Middle School and Upper School – serving students K-12.
  • Typically, 100 percent of graduates pursue their education beyond the secondary level. In 2006, 152 students took 329 Advanced Placement (AP) exams with 90 percent of the scores being a "3" or better. The school offers 27 AP classes in its curriculum.
