The Triangle is the Place to Be
The good news keeps pouring in for North Carolina and its capital city. Despite the nation’s woes, North Carolina’s economic growth is likely to continue in 2008, according to a recent report by economist John Connaughton.
As noted in the Triangle Business Journal, Connaughton forecasts that the state’s economy will grow 2.2 percent in 2008, marking the seventh consecutive year of expansion. The state is expected to add nearly 35,000 net jobs this year.
The word is out about North Carolina, and interest in moving here from other parts of the country is high. Interest in Raleigh is especially high, and it’s easy to see why. Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine has listed Raleigh as the country’s second best place to live in 2008, behind only Houston. |
